1. What is your favorite thing about the Wind Industry?
My favorite thing is how perfectly it bridges my two fields of study: Aerospace Engineering and Geoinformatics. While my aerospace background gives me a deep appreciation for the aerodynamics and physical engineering behind wind turbines, my geo background allows me to see the bigger spatial picture. I love how deeply data-driven the industry is. Whether it’s optimizing turbine placements using geographic data or automating complex spatial analyses, there is a massive opportunity to use geospatial tech to maximize energy efficiency. It is incredibly exciting to apply satellite data and automation to a rapidly growing field that is physically shaping the future of energy.

2. What motivates you to be in the Wind Industry?
My career has been about understanding how natural systems work and how human decisions affect them from modeling vertical ground displacement caused by over-extraction, to tracking pollutant flow from the Australian bushfires. The wind industry feels like the next logical chapter: a chance to apply those same aerospace and geospatial instincts toward something that actively contributes to the energy transition. The engineering precision that wind demands, combined with the spatial complexity of siting and monitoring projects, is exactly the kind of challenge that gets me thinking. I’m here because the skills fit, the mission matters, and there’s still so much left to figure out.
